Afrahtafreeh ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you sign up and use our Progressive Web App.

When you sign in with Google: We receive your name and email address from your Google account. You are also asked to provide your college name during registration. This information is stored securely to personalize your experience and connect you with the appropriate educational content.
Automatically collected data: We may collect anonymous usage data (pages visited, features used) to improve our service. No personally identifiable information is collected without your consent.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Account creation & authentication: To let you sign in, track your progress, and keep your preferences.
- Personalization: Your college name may be used to tailor content recommendations or connect you with peers from the same institution (only with your permission).
- Communication: We will never spam you. We may occasionally send important updates about the platform via email.
- Referral tracking: If you joined via a referral link, the referral code and a random visitor token are stored to credit the referrer. No personal data is shared with the referrer.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Supabase, a secure, encrypted backend service. We implement strict access controls and never share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your Google authentication is handled directly by Google – we never see your password.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and enable the PWA’s offline capabilities. No third‑party advertising cookies are deployed. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not function properly.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal data at any time. To do so, contact us at team@afrahtafreeh.site. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted on this page, and if significant, we will notify you via the app or email.
